Let me first thank you (yes you) for taking the time out to read my very first blog post. I am happy to have an audience of young intellectuals that have an interest in what it is I have to say.
Anyway, I know when people read this (if people read this) they're gonna wonder why I chose to name my blog site after my cardigan. Well I'll tell you, it's probably a little deeper than you think. By definition, a cardigan is simply a sweater or jacket, usually collarless, that opens down the full length of the front. It's not the most impressive piece of clothing I have in my closet nor is it the most expensive. As a matter of fact, it's not even from a popular name brand. I could've named my site after a blazer, or some loafers, or even Justin's Closet for that matter but that's not what this blog site is about. It's not even about fashion.
I chose to name my blog site after my cardigan because of its versatility. I didn't want my blog site to compartmentalize all of my interests.You see a cardigan can be worn in a variety of settings. Whether it be a professional setting where you're interviewing for a new job or internship, or if you're just casually hanging out with friends. Cardigans can be worn to night clubs or chess clubs. With a nice collared shirt and tie added to your cardigan your image says sophisticated and preppy. A cardigan worn with a v neck top and jeans can be viewed as a cross between classic ruggedness and modern cool. It's versatility is what I love.
And that's what this blog site will be. Versatile. I want it to touch on all topics as they relate to me as a person. From fashion to art, entertainment to education, politics to religion. The Cardigan is a blog site that bridges the gap between all of these things and takes a holistic approach to all of these trending topics. This post has gone on wayyyyyy to long LOL but I just hope that my blog site is informative and fun for everyone that reads.
